Guidelines to help transfer the Slovenian Best Practice Healthy Club Quality Mark model to your country:
Carefully read the concept of the Healthy Club Quality Mark model and in case you need more information, please contact Sport Union of Slovenia.
Share the concept with your team, with decision makers, and set with them the strategic plan of your Healthy Club.
Prepare the action plan for implementation with the purpose, the scope, the objectives and the methodology/planned activities.
Adapt the concept to your national environment where needed.
Prepare adapted criteria for Quality Mark certification suitable for your national environment.
Select the Healthy Club certification team, which will be responsible for certification of Healthy Clubs. Present the Healthy Club Quality Mark model and criteria to representatives of the Healthy Club certification team in order to get their clear understanding.
Translate the Healthy Club materials to your language if English version cannot be used.
Present the Healthy Club Quality Mark model to local and regional sport organisations by providing a seminar, training, meeting, press-releases, website and e-news invitations.
Start small – with only a few clubs! Develop a national network and then develop further.
Invite local and regional sport organisations to join the Quality Mark process by fulfilling and sending the application form.
Select appropriate local and regional sport organisations to establish national network of Healthy Clubs. Promote the network, promote the knowledge and experience to other stakeholders.
Monitor and support the implementation process and observe the outcomes on the local level.
Provide support and mentoring to local sport organisations in the form of consulting, visits, providing Healthy Club materials and promotional materials.
Provide support to local sport organisations in the form of seminars, trainings, workshops and literature for trainers and coaches.
Provide support to local sport organisations in the form of consulting, know-how, workshops and literature for managers and administration workers.
Provide support to local and regional sport organisations in form of establishment and/or strengthening the cooperation with other stakeholders, particularly from the health sector.
Promote and disseminate the Healthy Club Quality Mark on a national level (media, social media, other sectors and stakeholders).
The Healthy Club certification team reviews the outcomes and implemented activities from local sport organisations and selects those who reached the criteria to receive the Healthy Club Quality Mark. The certification with the Healthy Club Quality Mark is valid for two years.
Organise the award ceremony and grant the Healthy Club Quality Mark certificate to selected organisations.
Evaluate the project activities, collect feedback and suggestions from other stakeholders and upgrade the project.
